We all know the story of Goldilocks and The Three Bears. The bears come home to find someone has been sleeping in their beds.
And so it was for George the Cat and his Mum Meloney when they found an uninvited guest in Georges bed one cold winters night.
George’s Mom, Meloney Blaze, couldn’t believe her eyes when she came downstairs, only to see a pair of huge ears poking out of George’s bed? I thought, “hmm, those are not the cat’s ears”, and I turned the light on to look at what was in the cat’s bed – and it was a fox!”
He was very tame and clearly did not want to leave. “George was outside the window and was not impressed, I had to let him in the bathroom window. He jumped on the side and leaped into action and was telling the fox off – he was even hissing at him, but the fox just looked at him.”
George tried to scare the interloper away by hissing, but the fox refused to move. So Meloney picked up the bed and tipped the unwanted guest out the window. “He was very tame,” she explained, “he did not want to leave his bed.” I mean it’s cold outside, and even colder with the current UK cold snap. Where would you rather be?
